All About DUI School

Clients frequently ask me about DUI school. Essentially, DUI school is a program regulated by the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS). It is officially called "DUI Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Program (RRP)" .  This intervention program is mandated by law for people convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI), possession of illegal drugs, underage possession of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle, or Boating Under the Influence (BUI). That means you have to attend if you have been convicted of one of the charges listed above. DSS hopes by attending it will change "the actual drinking and drug use behavior of the individual." DSS does not conduct the course, merely regulates the teaching of it.
