In my latest newsletter I discuss who can see your adult criminal record. Readers are asking me for more information: how do you get a copy of your criminal record?

You can get a copy of your criminal history from your local police department or sheriff for around $20 and from there you can get copies of the records from the clerk of court. This record is the same information potential employers and educational institutions see when they pull your Georgia criminal history record.

You can also request a copy of your criminal history from the FBI http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm.
