 Want the best Atlanta DUI Attorney?

Question 1. How many years have you been in practice in atlanta?
This will tell you about the attorney's potential experience. But, also ask what have they done all those years. Lawyers can get listed on web DUI directories and referral services as "DUI Attorneys" with no experience whatsoever.
Question 2: How much experience do you have representing persons charged with DUI in Metro atlanta?
DUI law is too complex to be trusted to someone who just dabbles in DUI defense.
Question 3: Who in the office will actually be handling my case and what are their qualifications?
The lawyer you are speaking to might not actually be the person who does the work on your case. Beware those who speak of their office's "team" approach.
Question 4: How many cases have you taken to jury trial in local Atlanta courts?
This is a crucial question and one which "separates the men from the boys" in DUI defense. Your case might need to go to trial in order to get the outcome you deserve. It's imperative that your attorney have a significant amount of jury trial experience.
Question 5: Have you ever been disciplined by the State Bar?
You do not want a lawyer with a long disciplinary rap sheet.
Question 6: What are the potential legal costs?
The lawyer should be honest with you about what your case might cost. Beware of lawyers luring you with promises of unrealistically low fees and costs.
Question 7: What challenges do you see in my case?
Challenges are problems that stand in the way of winning your case. The lawyer should not gloss over any facts that may disappoint you as the case progresses.
Question 8: What will be the final outcome of my case?
A good metro Atlanta DUI attorney will not promise you a specific result because it is always impossible to be certain how a case will turn out. Any other answer is dishonest and unethical. A good attorney can only promise to do his or her best job in defending you.
