Client hit another car head-on at about 8:00 a.m.

After sleeping off a night of drinking, his blood level was almost double the limit. The other driver was seriously injured. The maximum sentence this client faced was 17 years in prison. After years of negotiations, case was resolved with 10-year sentence, with 5 years in prison because this was not a first lifetime DUI.

Not surprisingly, this client declined to do field tests or take the Intox test. Jessica Towne resolved without a DUI conviction, no jail, no license suspension.

Jessica Towne fixes other attorney's mistakes, Spring 2010

Client had two different arrests for driving with suspended license.

The suspension resulted from another attorney advising client to plead guilty to a DUI, without advising him how and when to get his license reinstated. Had that initial attorney been a good attorney, this client never would have been arrested. As it was, JT advised client how to get his license back and postponed all court appearances until he had his license.

Went to each court; first case resolved as "no license in possession" and second case resolved without client suffering a new suspension. This saved the client about $1,200 in court fines.

Make sure your attorney really knows how to get your license back, or keeps you from losing your license in the first place.

Client had two different arrests for driving after insurance lapsed and went to court without an attorney. He didn't realize that his license would be suspended as a result. He drives for a living and would lose job if he lost his license. JT reopened the first case, resolved it with a local ordinance violation, then made sure client obtained insurance before going to court on the second arrest.

Jessica Towne resolved in a manner that keeps the client driving legally and with insurance, and saving client about $800 in court fines.
